Husky Spring Company started in 1981 when the owner of a Chevrolet dealership observed the OEM spring supply was spotty and high priced and the information about upgrade options through OEM was poor. The Husky Spring Company initial mission to provide an aftermarket option for springs and suspension parts in the NE Minnesota market. Springs for all brands and types of vehicles were offered and the Husky Spring business grew. In 1992 Husky Spring was moved to operate within a tire and service business to provide growth opportunities. The geographical target market was enlarged to include all of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota. A second Husky Spring warehouse was opened in St. Cloud, MN in 2000, a third warehouse was opened in Des Moines in 2006 and a Twin Cities warehouse was opened in 2009.
