What is an Exhaust Intermediate Pipe?
The exhaust system in your vehicle is made up of several interconnected parts to keep exhaust flowing away from the engine and cabin and out of the vehicle. These can include the exhaust manifold, catalytic converter, resonator, and muffler. An exhaust intermediate pipe is used to connect all of these parts together. An exhaust intermediate pipe connects between two parts of your vehicle's exhaust system, and is typically secured with a flange or flare and bolts or studs on either end to keep them connected.
