Exhaust

The exhaust system carries gases caused by combustion out and away from the engine, and on most vehicles, it is also designed to decrease the noise from the engine. The exhaust leaves the engine through the exhaust manifold and moves through the exhaust pipes, the catalytic converter, and the muffler to exit the vehicle through the tailpipe. Gaskets are needed for each section of the exhaust system where the connection is not welded, and exhaust hangers and clamps hold the exhaust components in place under the vehicle.
