Ford F-Series Brake Shoes

The drum brake system on your Ford F-Series includes a wheel cylinder, brake drum, and brake shoes. -The brake shoes are pushed outward into the drum by the wheel cylinder, which slows or stops the truck. With time, the friction material on the shoes wears down, leaving only the metal frame, which can make noise when it contacts the drum. If you hear a squeaking or scraping sound from your Ford F-Series truck when braking, this may be caused by worn brake shoes. If the parking brake isn't holding your truck in place, the brake shoes may need to be replaced. If your Ford F-Series needs new brake shoes, brake drums, or other parts, O'Reilly Auto Parts carries the drum brake parts you need to make a full brake repair.
