Bearings and Seals

Bearings help ensure your tires and wheels, axle shafts, driveshafts, and more rotate smoothly as you drive down the road. Seals also help keep grease from leaking from the wheel end or other rotating assemblies, and are a necessity to ensure lasting bearing and wheel end repairs.

Different Vehicles, Different Bearings and Seals

Depending on the year and type of vehicle you drive, the bearings and seals may come in a complete hub assembly. If your vehicle does not use complete hub assemblies, your wheel end may include a wheel seal, a bearing cone, and a bearing race. Some wheel bearings are also sealed and designed as a one-piece replacement for both bearing and race. Rear-wheel and four-wheel drive vehicles may also include axle bearings that are part of an enclosed differential. Spindle axle nuts and spindle nut washers and retainers are also used to hold bearings and seals in place on the axle or hub, and should be inspected to ensure they are in serviceable condition during your repairs.
