If you're installing a new power steering pump or replacing timing gears, a pulley puller and installer is likely a necessity. Pulleys, especially those on power steering pumps, are often pressed on and cannot be removed by hand. Similarly, the timing gears at the end of a crankshaft are often pressed and require a puller and installation tool for replacement. O'Reilly Auto Parts carries gear and pulley puller tools through our rental program. Pay a deposit when you pick up the tool, and we will refund you when it's returned.
