2013 Ford Mustang - Bumper
The antenna is built to pick up radio waves and transmit them to your vehicle's radio receiver. The most common design is the monopole whip antenna. Some newer model vehicles have the antenna built into the roof under the headliner. If it is proprietary, then the antenna may need to be purchased from the dealer. If your antenna is failing, the AM stations will be lost first since they have the weakest signals. If FM signals are coming in but AM signals are not, you most likely need a new antenna. It is also a good idea to check the antenna wires and grounding as these contribute to the reception. If a new antenna does not work, this may indicate a problem with the radio itself. If you need a replacement antenna, stereo, or other car audio parts, O'Reilly Auto Parts carries car audio system parts for most vehicles.
