How to Repair Signal and Light Assemblies

Depending on how the light assemblies on your vehicle have been damaged and how the part is designed, it may be possible to simply replace the lens or gasket, or you may need to replace the entire assembly. Cracked turn signal assemblies, side marker light assemblies, or parking light assemblies can prevent the light from being seen as well as it should, or could allow moisture to burn out the bulb prematurely. Even if you can't see visible cracks or damage, if the lens has separated or the gasket has been damaged, condensation may form on the inside of the lens. If you can see drops of water or fog on the inside of the assembly, it's usually best to replace your turn signal or marker light lens, gasket, or assembly altogether.
