Jeep Wrangler EFI Main Relay
The electronic fuel injection main relay, or EFI, activates the EFI computer system and fuel pump when you start your Jeep Wrangler. The EFI relay makes sure that the fuel pump and injectors have pressure before you start the engine to help your Wrangler start quickly. The EFI relay may be controlled by the computer or by the ignition switch depending on the design of your Jeep's electrical system. When the EFI relay fails, the fuel pump may not activate and your Jeep may not start, or it could die shortly after starting. The Check Engine light may also turn on to alert you a problem with the fuel injection system or fuel pump.
