2008 Nissan Frontier - Automatic Choke Relay
An automatic choke or shutdown relay sends power to critical engine components, including the fuel injectors and ignition system, when the vehicle is running and the relay is in the closed position. When the vehicle is turned off and the shutdown relay is opened, it prevents power from reaching these systems to shut down the engine and prevent it from continuing to run by discontinuing the flow of fuel and the presence of spark in the cylinders.
