Rear Tail Light Circuit Board Replacements

The tail light circuit board, also known as the tail light connector plate, houses the electrical connections for the tail light bulbs. A tail light circuit board distributes the incoming electrical signals to the various bulbs in the tail light assembly, including the tail lights, brake lights, turn signals, and sometimes reverse lights, depending on the vehicle. The tail light circuit board is mounted in the tail light housing and usually includes a plug for the wiring harness, along with the various bulb sockets or socket contacts. Over time, exposure to moisture, dirt, or just general wear and tear can cause the contacts on the circuit board to corrode or become loose, which may prevent complete connection and prevent the tail lights or other rear lights from functioning correctly. If you replace a bulb in the tail light assembly and it still doesn't work, this may indicate an issue with the tail light circuit board. There may also be an issue with the bulb socket, wiring harness, or system fuses, switches, or relays, so be sure to inspect these electrical components as you diagnose the source of your lighting issues. If other wiring or connectivity issues aren't present, it may be necessary to replace the entire tail light circuit board to restore safe operation. If you need a new tail light assembly, tail light circuit board, bulbs, or fuses, shop O'Reilly Auto Parts for the right lighting and electrical system parts for most vehicles.
