2017 Ram 1500 - License Plate Light Connector

License plate lights are mandatory in some states, and are used to illuminate the rear license plate in the dark so it is visible to law enforcement. If your license plate lights seem dim, or have been damaged, the bulb or lens may need to be replaced. If the light works sporadically or not at all, even after replacing the bulb or lens, check your license plate light connector for damage or corrosion. The connector attaches the light socket to the harness that allows the lights to turn on and off with your running lights.
