Your turn signal light bulb allows you to safely communicate with other drivers on the road by indicating your next move or intended change in direction. Turn signal light bulbs are often housed in your vehicle's headlight and tail light assemblies, or they may be installed in a dedicated turn signal lens assembly. Your vehicle's hazard lights and turn signal bulbs are often one and the same but may utilize separate relays, switches, and wiring circuits to operate. Your hazard light control switch is typically a button located on your dash or steering column, and your turn signal control switch is an arm or lever attached to your steering column that may also include your headlight controls, wiper switch, and more. Each vehicle should have four operational turn signals to ensure your safety on the road, and when you push the turn signal in one direction or the other, both bulbs on one side of the vehicle should activate and blink. A faulty turn signal bulb or flasher relay can cause one of your car's indicators to fail, and this may also cause the remaining bulb on that side of the vehicle to flash rapidly to alert you to a problem. If one or more of your turn signal bulbs are burnt out, dim, or damaged, they should be replaced as soon as possible. If you have inspected the bulbs and found no physical damage, but your turn signal bulbs still aren't working, you might have a damaged wire, blown fuse, corroded light socket, faulty turn signal switch, or damaged relay.
