2013 Ford Mustang - Hood Release Cable

The hood release cable allows you to "pop" and open the hood of your vehicle. It runs from the handle inside the cockpit to the latch under the hood. Many hood latches have a dual latch design for safety, and the hood release cable usually only releases the first latch. Over time, the release cable can become rusted, damaged, or wear out. This may leave you unable to open your hood. If you try and pop the hood and nothing happens, or if your hood release lever is hard to move at all, you may need to replace your hood release cable.
