1999 Chevrolet Lumina - Water In Fuel Sensor

A water in fuel sensor monitors water concentrations in the fuel supply and communicates with the engine control module. If the amount of water in the fuel is too high, this could lead to misfires or other performance issues, and the engine module may engage limp mode or adjust the fuel mixture to keep the engine running at its best. Water in fuel sensors are often installed in or near the fuel filter housing.
