Band Clamps for Exhaust Systems

Exhaust clamps are used to secure and connect sections of exhaust pipe to various pieces of the exhaust system, such as catalytic converters and mufflers, and seal the connections without welding. Designed to provide an air-tight seal between exhaust components, the exhaust clamp's primary purpose is to help prevent exhaust leaks and reduce exhaust noise. Exhaust clamps are constructed of stainless steel or other temperature-resistant materials, but over time, your exhaust clamps can suffer wear and break down. Once broken or damaged, exhaust clamps typically can't be repaired and must be replaced. A broken or loose exhaust clamp can damage the exhaust pipes or mufflers, especially if the exhaust system is able to move while the vehicle is driven. If your exhaust clamp or exhaust pipe are broken or damaged, you will want to replace these parts as soon as possible. Exhaust system damage may lead to misfires, backfires, or exhaust system leaks. A leaky exhaust system can result in your vehicle not passing emission testing, and may even allow exhaust into the cabin of the vehicle. This is a health hazard and can be extremely dangerous, so this repair should be a priority. At O'Reilly Auto Parts, we have exhaust clamps and other exhaust system parts to make your repair easier.
