Speedometer Calibrator

A speedometer calibrator is used to reset the speedometer for use with larger tires or non-stock rear end gear ratios. Your speed sensor is mounted in the transmission and feeds the speedometer based on factory settings. A speedometer calibrator plugs into the vehicle's OBD-II connector and adjusts the settings using the new tire size or gear ratio. This helps your speedometer read correctly for the changes you have made to the vehicle. Most also offer Check Engine code reading and clearing, and allow you to reset the computer to factory settings.
