2016 Ford Focus - Timing Tab

The timing tab bolts to a vehicle's engine and allows timing marks on the harmonic balancer or crankshaft pulley to be read during service. The timing of an engine's ignition in relation to the operation of the crankshaft, pistons, and valve train is important to its performance and making sure that the timing is correct allows the engine to run at its best. Using a strobing timing light pointed at the timing tab allows users to accurately advance or delay the timing to the optimal level.
