An engine oil filler tube or pipe is used to reroute the oil filler location, allowing the oil cap to be relocated to a more accessible place on the engine to allow fresh oil to be added to the engine during oil changes or maintenance. An oil filler tube is usually rubber, plastic, or metal and also includes seals or gaskets to prevent contaminants from dirtying the vehicle's oil.
