Ford Focus EGR Valve Gasket
The exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system on your Ford Focus moves some of the exhaust back to the cylinders, replacing some of the combustible oxygen with nitrogen gas. This helps lower cylinder temperature and increases engine efficiency. The EGR valve opens and closes when signalled to allow exhaust gas to flow into the intake, and is sealed against the intake using an EGR valve gasket.
