Jeep Wrangler Crankshaft Seal

The crankshaft seal for your Jeep Wrangler prevents oil from leaking out of the engine at the front of the crankshaft. Crankshaft seals are located on the front bottom portion of the engine, behind the harmonic balancer and crankshaft pulley and often installed in the timing cover. With time, the crankshaft seal, like all rubber or silicone seals, can fail, causing an oil leak. If the crankshaft seal on your Wrangler leaks, it often leaves a puddle near the front of the engine after the vehicle has been parked overnight. It's important to check the oil levels on your Jeep frequently if you have an oil leak to prevent engine damage until you can replace your crankshaft seal. O'Reilly Auto Parts carries crankshaft seals for your Jeep Wrangler so you can make your repair and prevent oil loss.
