Honda Civic Oil Pressure Sensor

Your Honda Civic's on-board diagnostics system likely includes a variety of indicators and warning lights allowing you to easily tell if on-board systems are working as they should. The oil pressure sensor or switch in your Civic helps you to gauge oil pressure in your engine. If this sensor isn't working properly, this can cause false pressure readings. False signals sent to the ECU and the oil pressure gauge or the warning light can make you think you have a problem with your oil pressure when the sensor is at fault. Before you replace your oil pressure sensor, check your oil and, if necessary, add oil to a safe level. If you hear clunking, ticking, or smell oil burning, there may be other issues. If you need to replace your oil pressure sensor, find a new oil pressure sensor or switch for your Honda Civic at O'Reilly Auto Parts.
