What is an Engine Oil Dipstick/Tube?

Your vehicle's engine oil dipstick and tube are important components designed to allow you to monitor and inspect your oil level and condition. The engine oil dipstick is a flexible metal rod that slides down the dipstick tube into the oil pan to measure the oil level.
