A radiator mount acts as a frame for the radiator and keeps it secured while the vehicle is operated. This mount also serves as a shock mount for the radiator to isolate it from the frame and prevent component contact that could lead to damage. Radiator mounts are often made of rubber, plastic, metal, or a combination of these materials. Without a mount, the radiator may be able to move freely and cause damage to the radiator itself, fans, hoses, or the engine.
