Ford F-Series Center Support Bearing
The Ford F-Series' center support bearing allows trucks with a longer wheelbase to use two-piece driveshafts. The center support bearing supports the driveshafts in the center to prevent damage and keep some of the weight off of the yokes. Over time, the center support bearing can wear out. If your Ford F-Series is making a squealing or grinding sound when the truck slows to a stop, or if there is a strong vibration from underneath the truck when you accelerate, especially from a dead stop, inspect the center support bearing and driveshaft U-joints for damage or wear. If either part has failed, they should be replaced to prevent driveshaft, transmission, or differential damage. O'Reilly Auto Parts carries center support bearings, universal joints, and other parts for your Ford F-Series truck so you can make your repair and get back on the road.
