Radiator

The engine in your vehicle is designed to run at an optimal temperature to prevent damage and ensure maximum efficiency and performance. The cooling system regulates the engine's temperature to keep it at an appropriate operating temperature and reduce the risk of overheating and engine damage. One of the main cooling system components is the radiator, which uses air passing through the grille to dissipate heat as the coolant cycles. If the radiator is damaged, the engine temperature can rise quickly, and extended high temperatures could cause cylinder head and block damage, gasket failure, and other more severe problems.

Keep Your Engine Cool

To keep your engine at the right temperature, coolant flows through cores in the radiator. Air flows over the cores and through the radiator to cool the fluid, and the coolant is then returned to the engine. If the cores of your radiator are clogged or damaged, the coolant will not be able to flow or be cooled correctly, or the radiator could develop a leak. A radiator flush can help clean out clogged cores to return the radiator to optimal cooling capacity. However, damaged cores may require you to replace the entire radiator to fix the issue.
