Jeep Wrangler Tie Rod End Adjusting Sleeve

The tie rod adjusting sleeve on your Jeep Wrangler connects the inner and outer tie rods to each other. The tie rod sleeves are threaded to allow for adjustment when aligning the front end, moving the tie rods closer to one another or farther apart to adjust the alignment of each wheel. Tie rod adjusting sleeves also typically include clamps or retainers to keep the tie rods from unscrewing or loosening. With time, the adjusting sleeves on your Wrangler can be damaged or the threads may be stripped. This can cause problems aligning the front end or keeping it aligned, and it may allow the tie rods to separate and no longer connect the wheels to the steering system. If the tie rod end will not thread tightly into the adjusting sleeve, inspect the condition of the sleeve and tie rods and replace these parts as needed. O'Reilly Auto Parts carries tie rod end adjusting sleeves, tie rod ends, and other suspension or steering parts for your Jeep Wrangler to help you regain its handling.
