Ford Mustang Steering Gear Box

The steering gearbox on your Ford Mustang is the link between the steering wheel and the linkage that turns the front wheels. As you turn the steering wheel, gears inside the gearbox move the pitman arm, which transfers that motion to your steering linkage and tie rod ends. If you have difficulty turning the wheel, or if you hear grinding noises when turning, the steering gear box in your Mustang might be failing.
