Your Chevrolet Blazer's idler arm attaches to your car's frame and provides support for the steering linkage beneath the vehicle. As the steering moves, the idler arm swivels to carry the weight of the side of the steering linkage opposite the pitman arm, and is often greased and contains bushings to keep it tight. Over time, the idler arm may suffer wear and loosen, which may cause it to bind or sag while steering. If your Blazer is wandering back and forth on its own, or you experience excessive play in the steering, then you may need to inspect your idler arm. If it is noticeably loose or worn, it should be replaced to keep your car handling as it should. Find a replacement idler arm for your Chevrolet Blazer at O'Reilly Auto Parts, along with tie rods, pitman arms, and other steering parts for a complete repair.
