Jeep Wrangler Track and Panhard Bars

Your Jeep Wrangler's track bar, also called a panhard bar, prevents the axles from moving side to side beneath your SUV. It connects your axle to the opposite side of the frame to help stabilize your steering and suspension and also prevents the axle from shifting under the body when turning. Normally, you would find this part on coil spring suspension systems to provide additional rigidity and stability to the suspension. With regular use, the track bar can be damaged, bushings can wear out and loosen, or the bar may be bent.
