The center link on your Chevrolet Blazer connects the pitman arm to the rest of the steering linkage, and uses joints at each end to keep the steering tight. This allows the steering wheel to control the system as the pitman arm pushes and pulls on the center link to direct the tie rods and wheels. Center links can wear out over time as the joints or bushings are damaged, and may cause your Blazer's steering to feel loose or out of alignment. This can result in excessive play in the steering wheel before it engages, or you may notice that your vehicle pulls to one side while driving. Though an alignment may be needed to repair these issues, you should also inspect the center link, tie rods, and other parts of the steering system before having this performed. If the center link is especially loose or appears to be damaged, it should be replaced. O'Reilly Auto Parts carries center links, tie rods, idler arms, and other steering system parts to keep your Chevrolet Blazer driving like new.
