Chevrolet Blazer A/C Orifice Tube

The A/C orifice tube in your Chevrolet Blazer's A/C system is a refrigerant expansion device with a fixed opening and no moving parts. When refrigerant passes through the orifice tube, before entering the A/C evaporator, it transitions from warm, high-pressure liquid refrigerant into cold, low-pressure liquid by expansion. If the orifice tube on your Blazer wears out or clogs, it will disrupt the refrigerant from cycling as it should. When too much refrigerant enters the evaporator it can freeze, causing frost on your cabin vents and overworking your A/C compressor. If not enough refrigerant gets cycled into the evaporator it can cause your A/C system to stop producing cold air. When repairing your Chevrolet Blazer, you can find everything you need at O'Reilly Auto Parts, including orifice tubes, refrigerant, accumulators, and other A/C repair parts to help keep your car cool.
