The blend door on your Nissan Altima mixes the hot and cold air in the heating and A/C system tol be sent to the vents. The blend door is controlled by a small electric motor called the blend door actuator. When you adjust the controls on your Altima's dash to the desired temperature, the blend door actuator moves the blend door to adjust the hot and cold air for the proper mix.
