Your Ford F-Series' blend door, sometimes called the vent door, mixes the hot and cold air to give you the exact temperature you want through the vents of your Ford. The blend door is controlled by a small motor called the blend door actuator. When you select the desired temperature, the actuator moves the blend door to give you the proper mix. If you can only get very hot or very cold air from the vents, the blend door or the actuator may have failed. If your Ford changes temperature but very slowly, the blend door actuator motor could be weak or starting to fail.
