Ford Focus Ambient Air Temperature Sensor

Depending on your year and model, your Ford Focus might have an outdoor temperature gauge to allow the temperature to be displayed inside the vehicle. If your Focus has an outdoor temperature gauge, but it is giving you very erratic readings, the ambient air temperature sensor may have failed. The ambient temperature sensor is often located near the front of the vehicle and reads the outside air temperature to send the data to the engine control unit. The information is then sent to the air temperature display in the cabin to show the reading on the dash or rearview mirror. The ambient air temperature sensor can fail over time, and if the temperature reading is very inaccurate, such as reading below zero on a warm sunny day, the ambient air temperature sensor may need to be replaced. O'Reilly Auto Parts carries the right parts for your Ford Focus, including ambient air temperature sensors, so you can keep everything in your car working as it should.
