Do It Right: The best thing to remember when applying spray wax is not to use too much. A few light sprays on each panel is sufficient. If you use too much, you’re more likely to see streaking. |
Step 1: Prepare and Wash Vehicle
If you’re applying ceramic spray-on wax for the first time, wash your vehicle like you normally would to remove any loose contaminants.

Do It Right: Hybrid ceramic wax can be used on matte finishes with great results as long as you follow directions and again, don’t use too much. |
If you encounter any stuck-on contaminants, you may need to use a clay bar to completely remove them. The better you prepare the surface of your vehicle, the better the results will be.
Step 2: Apply Base Layer of Spray-On Ceramic Wax
Once the vehicle is washed and rinsed, establish a base layer of wax before you dry it. Do this by spraying the ceramic wax product across all exterior surfaces of the vehicle.

Do It Right: It isn’t recommended you use ceramic spray wax on glass, but any overspray can be removed by rinsing it thoroughly. |
Once each panel is thoroughly sprayed, use a microfiber towel to dry the vehicle. Using the microfiber towel will ensure that you’ve worked the wax into all the harder-to-reach spots, and creates a base layer that additional applications can add to.
Step 3: Add Additional Layers of Spray-On Ceramic Wax
Once the base layer of ceramic wax has been applied, the process changes. Additional layers should be added in the washing process after the wash and rinse. So, after thoroughly washing and rinsing your vehicle, spray ceramic wax on all the panels.
Use a strong stream of water to give the vehicle one final rinse, then dry it thoroughly with a microfiber towel.

Do It Right: If you happen to wait too long between waxing, rinsing, and drying, the product may leave streaks. If this happens, wipe the area with a dampened microfiber towel or mist it with water and then wipe it down. |
