Burnt band and 3-4 frictions? These are typical symptoms of outboard pressure regulator (PR) valve bore wear. Our drop-in valve addresses this number one complaint. A simple visual check of the valve and its movement within the bore can reveal signs of obvious outboard wear. Note: This pressure regulator valve can be installed while the transmission is in the vehicle on 1993 to 2006 models only without the input speed sensor. 2007 and later models equipped with the input speed sensor will require transmission removal.
