The 12 Volt rechargeable battery is equipped with 5 Amps of power to ensure up to 4 trailer brakes will hold for the mandatory 15 minutes upon separation from the tow vehicle. Make sure your break-away kit remains charged for proper operation! Break-away kits activate trailer brakes upon separation from tow vehicle. Most states and provinces require trailer break-away kit.
