Detailed Description
Striking Tools; 4 Piece Aluminum Conversion Kit;
The Steck Manufacturing Soft Strike 4-pc Aluminum Conversion Kit, No. 35000, includes tools to work on aluminum body components. The Soft Strike Rubber Dolly Body Covers and the Soft Strike Dinging Spoon Cover are made from Buna rubber for use on a steel heel dolly or a dinging spoon. With the Soft Strike Dolly Body Cover, technicians can add the cover to the existing steel dolly. The Soft Strike Hammer Cover, made from vinyl, makes for a quick and easy transition from using the body tools on steel to aluminum, without the worry of cross contamination and galvanic corrosion.
Brand Information
Steck Manufacturing Company was started as Steck's Paint & Body Shop by George Steck in 1946. George went into manufacturing in the late forties when he and a partner developed a fastener used to install rear fenders.
The rest, as they say, is history.
Steck has continuously manufactured tools and equipment for the collision repair industry in the same location in Dayton, Ohio for over fifty years. George Steck's original body shop building is still part of the Steck Manufacturing complex, and Steck still operates a body shop for research and development purposes. The company is currently managed by John Brill and Rick Vogel.
