Detailed Description
Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensor (TPMS) Service Kit;
Schrader has been the leading global manufacturer of valves and sensing solutions for automotive and industrial applications, delivering solutions that protect and perform. Schrader is widely known for the invention of the standard pneumatic tire valve, the same valve used on most motor vehicles in the world
- OE fit, form, and function
- Ready out of the box Valve cores are nickel-plated to improve durability and help prevent rust and corrosion
- Replacement components in Schrader TPMS service kits are sensor specific Each kit includes everything you need to properly service TPMS-equipped wheel and tire assemblies.
Schrader TPMS sensors meet original-equipment quality and performance standards. TPMS sensors measure tire pressure and transmit this information via radio frequencies to the vehicle's electronic control unit (ECU). Some Schrader TPMS sensors also measure tire temperature.
Always use new grommets, nuts, plastic or nickel-plated valve caps and electroless, nickel-plated valve cores (Service Pack) when performing any tire service.
Never use a brass valve core or un-plated brass cap with an aluminum TPMS sensor stem. Contact between dissimilar metals may cause galvanic corrosion, which can lead to loss of air pressure.
Refer to manufacturer's specifications for proper torque requirements when replacing nuts and valve cores.
