Detailed Description
Spare Tire Carrier;
If you have installed larger tires on your rig then a matching spare tire is a must. The problem comes when you try to bolt that new monster tire/wheel combo on your factory spare tire mount. Rugged Ridge has the answer with the HD Tire carrier Mount. The HD Tire Carrier Mount is constructed of heavy 1/4 inch steel plate and mounts to the tailgate. The tire is relocated two inches out from the old mount for larger tire clearance (Maximum tire size=35 inch).

The perfect addition to the XHD Rear Bumper and XHD Aluminum Rear Bumper is the matching XHD Tire Carrier Mount. The latch uses a sturdy locking mechanism for security and a tough appearance. Our engineers have gone to great lengths to make this the quietest tire carrier on the market, no more rattling! The massive hinge pivots on a heavy-duty roller bearing and supports up to a 35" tire. A multi-position locking pin mechanism keeps the arm in the open position when you need to open the tailgate, even on the steepest grade. The XHD Tire Carrier Mount attaches to the XHD Rear Bumpers using the D-ring mounts for a solid foundation.
