Opteon YF is a non- ozone depleting, low global warming potential (GWP) automotive refrigerant that is as easy to use and cools just as effectively as R-134a, but with 99.9 percent less global warming potential (GWP.) Since 2015, R-1234yf has been widely adopted by automotive OEs globally for use in new vehicles. Opteon YF 25 lb. cylinders require the use of recovery machines, leak detectors, and identifiers specifically designed for R-1234yf.
