Detailed Description

Nitrous Oxide System; Complete;

The NOS Cheater system uses large nitrous and fuel solenoids that can be adjusted for power levels up to 250 horsepower, in a matter of seconds. Cheater systems are easy to install and utilize a 1/2 Inch thick injector plate which fits between the carburetor and intake manifold to provide ample hood clearance. These systems are available in both single-stage and dual-stage models. Dual-stage models are best suited to those applications where full power cannot be applied at once, due to traction limitations. However, even greater control can be realized by using an NOS Progressive Nitrous Controller, shown elsewhere in this catalog. Cheater systems include a 10 Lb. nitrous bottle, four (4) stages of jets, aircraft-quality steel braided lines and all necessary electrical and mounting hardware for a complete installation. Each single carburetor Cheater system includes Jet Pack #13725 that allows jetting to four (4) different horsepower levels: 150, 180, 210 and 250. Each multiple carburetor Cheater system includes Jet Pack #13735 that allows jetting to four (4) different horsepower levels: 150, 175, 200 and 250.

The use of nitrous oxide as a performance enhancement has been used since World War II. Allied aircraft used it for emergency boosts in airspeed and altitude capabilities. By the end of WW II, jet propulsion had been invented and the US government was losing interest in piston-powered aircraft. For nearly thirty years, the application of nitrous oxide on vehicles would be privileged information. Racers dabbled with nitrous oxide injection from time to time with varied results.
