Backing Pad; 6-1/4 Inch; 5/8-11 Thread Size; A backing pad from MasterPro Refinishing features a polypropylene hub with a non-galling, aluminum-threaded insert for added durability. MasterPro Refinishing backing pads measure 6-1/4 inch, have a hook-and-loop attachment, and are designed to fit 5/8-11 inch arbor thread. A thick 7/16 inch cushion provides optimal feather-edge polishing to help you get the job done right.
Abrasive interface and back-up pads help improve cuts and finishes while reducing vibration. By cushioning the movement of the disc, interface pads provide a more evenly-distributed pressure for increased precision, and are excellent for sanding curved surfaces or body panels that require a smooth and quality finish. The right back-up or interface pad may also be necessary for using different types of abrasive discs or connection styles, and can be customized to the way you work. If the material you're working with requires more precision machining, back-up pads are also available for polishing and buffing pads.
