By cushioning the movement of the disc, interface pads provide a more evenly-distributed pressure for increased precision, and are excellent for sanding curved surfaces or body panels that require a smooth and quality finish. The right back-up or interface pad may also be necessary for using different types of abrasive discs or connection styles, and can be customized to the way you work.
