Protective Sheathing;

HeatGuard can pay for itself in reduced replacement and maintenance costs. It is available in two grades - HeatGuard and HeatGuard Hi-Temp. (Contact Gates Hose Product Application for details.)

  • Completely non-asbestos, heat-resistant, protective sleeving
  • Goes on easily over most hose and couplings, with only hose clamps or wire ties required for fastening
  • HeatGuard is engineered with coated fiberglass
  • HeatGuard Hi-Temp is braided, coated fiberglass and meets SAE AS1072E specification
  • Nominal wall thickness: 0.135 Inch and 0.142 in
  • Temperature Range: HeatGuard coated fiberglass: -65 Degree Fahrenheit to +500 Degree Fahrenheit (-54 Degree Celsius to +260 Deg. C)
  • HeatGuard Hi-Temp: -65 Degree Fahrenheit to +500 Degree Fahrenheit (-54 Deg. C to +260 Deg. C) for continuous exposure
  • up to 2000 Degree Fahrenheit (1093 Deg. C) for 15-20 minutes and up to 3000 Degree Fahrenheit (1650 Deg. C) for 15-30 seconds
