Exceptional Adhesive Properties

Castrol Fifth Wheel Grease is formulated with lubricating solids-such as graphite/moly-and has a high percentage of tackifiers, which help it adhere to metal surfaces and create a protective barrier against wear. In the rigorous ASTM D-4049 Water Sprayoff test, over 99 percent of Castrol Fifth Wheel Grease remained in place by the end of the test versus 50 percent with a typical NLGI #2 lithium complex grease. Castrol Fifth Wheel Grease has up to 50 times greater adhesive properties than products typically used to lubricate fifth wheel plates.
